Emerging Leaders in Insurance of Texas (ELITExas)
Emerging Leaders in Insurance of Texas (ELITExas) is an emerging leaders group for agents under the age of 40. This new strategic group's mission is tackling the largest problem our industry faces - recruiting and retaining new talent.
EliTexas’s broad mission is simple - To be Ambassadors with a unified voice for the next generation of our industry’s sustained future. At its core this group was created to do three things:

Big I Golf Tournament
Our annual Big “I” Fun Day where the whole San Antonio Metro insurance community comes together for good golf and good companionship.
Our Insurance Trade Fair that features key vendors from throughout the state that's held in April of each year. Our Trade Fair's are held at luxury venues each year and are one of the largest events the IIASA hosts.
Membership luncheon meetings which are held on a regular basis throughout the year featuring the insurance leaders and community figureheads that speak about breaking topics within the community, this is where and network with your peers and make new business in San Antonio. We've recently moved our luncheon venue to the Quarry Golf Club, our luncheons are hosted eight times a year on the third Wednesday of each month.

Types of Memberships
An Agency Member shall be an “Independent Insurance Agent.” An “Independent Insurance Agent” is defined as a person or firm licensed as an insurance agent in Texas transacting any or all types of retail insurance as an insurance agent or agency in San Antonio, Texas, or other Texas locations, solely on a commission or fee basis, and under contract with one or more insurers that recognize the agent’s ownership, use, and control of policy records and expiration data. Only Agency Members are entitled to vote.
An Agency Individual (sub account) must be an agent or employee working for an Agency Member (master account) above. The membership cost of an Agency Individual membership is included in the membership of the Agency Member. After registering as an Agency Individual, membership will not be approved until the IIASA website administrator has verified Agency Individual status with the Agency Member. Note: an Agency Individual can also request the user of the Agency Member master account to make an invitation via their master account member's profile and bypass the required IIASA website administrator's verification.
These members are not required to be independent insurance agents. Honorary Members are those which are selected by the Board of Directors as worthy of special grant. Honorary Members may attend meetings, participate in discussion, and serve as non-voting members on committees, but are not entitled to vote in any membership meeting although they may vote in committee meetings.
Affiliate (Company/Industry) Members are not required to be independent insurance agents. Affiliate Members shall consist of any person or firm which has an interest in or renders a service to the insurance industry and who is not eligible for Agency Membership. Affiliate Members may include, without limitation, insurance companies, general agents, surplus lines agents, law firms, adjusters and others who provide industry-related services. Affiliiate Members may attend meetings, participate in discussion, and serve as members on committees, but are not entitled to vote in any membership meeting although they may vote in committee meetings.
An Affiliate Individual (sub account) must be an employee working for an Affiliate Member (master account) above. The membership cost of an Affiliate Individual membership is included in the membership of the Affiliate Member. After registering as an Affiliate Individual, membership will not be approved until the IIASA website administrator has verified Affiliate Individual status with the Affiliate Member. Note: an Affiliate Individual can also request the user of the Affiliate Member master account to make an invitation via their master account member's profile and bypass the required IIASA website administrator's verification.
We also allow for both Agencies and Affiliates to sign up as non members. As a Non Member Agency or Affiliate your information will be in our database and you will receive general correspondence regarding Association activities and events. We encourage non members to join us whenever possible. Regrettably,Non Members will not be entitled to any of the member benefits such as free CE classes and member pricing discounts.
